North Springs Marta

The North Springs MARTA Station is an aerial platform station located in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. The design and palette of materials selected respond to the needs of the system for a simple, easily maintained structure. The structural elements are textured concrete, and vertical wall surfaces are a structural clay masonry in a contrasting color that identifies vertical circulation.  GeorgiaThe gently curved metal canopy over the platform is supported by slender conical columns which provide a brightly colored counterpoint to the more massive concrete track structure below. The station is accessible from the adjacent expressway as well as the surrounding neighborhood. Parking for 2,000 cars is provided.
