This interior renovation of a TriBeCa loft is a case study in 21st century family life. The owners’ envisioned a pattern for living that would integrate honest materials with flexible enclosure . Bedrooms, bathrooms, work areas and walk-in closets are interlocked to create a dense environment of private use . Layers of back-lit onyx, perforated steel and glass transoms filter natural light through the private areas in to the public zone of the interior. Photographs by Piotr Redlinski
