Completed in early 2006, this project was constructed to house a field house and indoor practice facility for the school's athletic programs. The 54,000 square foot facility includes locker and dressing rooms for both boys and girls field athletics, including varsity, junior varsity and freshman football, soccer, baseball and track programs; departmental and coaches offices, as well as extensive storage facilities for sports and athletic equipment. The central element of the facility is a 36,000 square foot indoor practice field, floored with synthetic turf, providing weather-controlled practice space for all the various athletic programs.Constructed by CR Reynolds, Inc., General Contractors of Sherman, Texas, the building was constructed under a competitively bid lump-sum contract and completed, on schedule, in nine months, at a cost of $2,910,622.00 ($53.99/square foot).
