This contemporary addition to a Heritage Bungalow will create a four-bedroom house measuring 300 sqm on a corner laneway site in a prime North Fitzroy location.
Outdoors, a private open space will be articulated to maximise privacy and daylight; one surrounded by living areas, landscaping and a green perimeter that wraps the street. The existing and proposed halves of the building will be separated by a series of courtyards which intersect circulation spaces at the ground and first floors.
A gentle play between materials and double height volumes will create an elegant sculptural expression to the street, and extremely liveable interiors that are bathed in natural light and benefit from abundant cross ventilation.
