500,000 sqft - 1,000,000 sqft
When Nomura chose Oxford Properties and UBS’s multi award-winning Angel Lane it was the City’s largest letting. With 546,000 sqft of technologically advanced workspace over 11 floors for 6,000 plus people, it is sited between the City’s Victorian and Roman riverbanks. The project has transformed the riverside with the first new public space between Parliament and The Tower of London.

Angel Lane’s superstructure sits on the extensive underground structures of London’s International Telephone Exchange that previously occupied the site. This and a carbon neutral pavilion are amongst the schemes remarkable green credentials. As are the two roof gardens totalling 25,000 sqft that enjoy spectacular Thames panoramas. Since occupation; these much used spaces have also sprouted a substantial vegetable plot devised and maintained by staff volunteers, where ingredients for Nomura’s dining rooms are grown. A thriving bee colony that produces honey for the café has been established on the main roof among the PV farms and satellite dishes.
