The Nomad Building project emerged from the thought of actuality. In the current scenario of the present city of the project, Blumenau, the needs and preferences - and realities - evolve every year. A constant redefinition of dwelling. And coming from the concept of designing a contemporary building, smaller apartments, being lofts, duplexes were adapted to combine the comfort of the individuality of each space with external factors, such as good ventilation and natural lighting.
The L-shaped tower allows the east/north sun to reach all users, and the building's circulation corridors are not in the middle of the apartments, but on the edge. This factor allows the duplex to have windows also on the upper floor (bedroom), located above the circulation corridor, and projects cross-ventilation throughout the building, avoiding the greenhouse effect of hot air with no exit and ensuring air quality. During the hours of strong insolation - midday - the sun rays are directed to environments with little contact, such as the service area, bathrooms, or floor circulation.
Structurally, the project adopted a clean formation with pillars from base to top with modular spacing. This qualifies the building for possible changes, wall openings and other alterations, focusing on practicality and flexibility for each lifestyle. The L-shape also acts as an external boundary of the structure, with no walls on the first floor and being accessible to the community with commercial rooms.
In a city where verticalization is constantly growing, contact with natural factors brings users of these spaces a reconnection with the environment and the sensitivity of small events. Thus, in the social environments located on the penthouse, the focus on the path of the sun follows the shape of the pool. This element in a creative triangle shape points to the sunset and, in order not to block the view of the evening, uses the space of the downstairs circulation corridor for its depth. Other elements of the penthouse are the gym, the open park in a winding path encouraging the user to slow down and contemplate the view; party areas with gourmet area and balconies facing the landscapes.
For urban scenarios, such as the city of the project, it is increasingly used buildings that merge the function of living with well-being, respecting the limits of space, whether physical or internal within each individual. Thus, the concept of being contemporary, practical, and essential, is represented in merging experiences and personalities in each frame of the whole.
