A gut renovation of this historic cottage gave us the opportunity to maximize space. We excavated down to connect the basement level to the rest of the home while also turning an attic into a spacious bedroom suite. An open plan layout with the kitchen at the heart makes this 1,430-square-foot home feel bigger. Natural wood and a warm color palette reflect the personality of the clients. Because the cottage is set at the back of the lot, the front yard serves as an outdoor living room. Terraces, a play yard, and a deck make the home as inviting on the outside as it is inside.
