The client is an organization minded to promote local artists and to teach Art History to those who might be interested. The space chosen for that was an 9m x 8m office in the 2nd floor of a commercial complex, located in Samborondon; which is Guayaquil's uptown.According to the name and space selected, we decided to materialize this cultural center's personality into its architectural components. That's why we did our best to let light rule the place. No colors, no textures; just light. A small office and a classroom made a white-glass cube which filters light in both ways. Surrounding this glass cube is a fine layer made by steel cables; in which one can hang the paintings of any exhibition, avoiding any contact with the glass. It's a place thought to be pure. Only art can come in and stain it.
