As a part of a successful 2012 bond issue, Nixa Public Schools implemented a much needed addition and face lift to an existing 50 year old school. The Nixa Junior High design included a 23,800 SF classroom addition and plans for a Phase 2 project which consists of 35,000 SF of new Administrative and Commons space. The additions wrap the prominent south and west sides of the building and, in effect, create an entirely new 21st century school image.
The Phase 1 classroom addition consists of 4 general classrooms, a science classroom, and a computer lab. Half of the new addition is an unfinished shell space with Phase 2 picking up the remaining 5 general classrooms, another science classroom, and another computer lab. The school district has grown exponentially and due to successful master planning and proactive measures have met the growing needs of the community with a flexible and progressive approach.
