The project is located in the edge between the town and the agricultural lands. The elongated proportion of the lot suggested a longitudinal volume from east to west, parallel to the street. The classrooms are on the south side, facing the courtyard, and services and the street access in the north side.
The building has two sets of classrooms in each side that are connected by a central services area that includes a multipurpose hall and the kitchen. On the south side, a metal sheet pergola protects large glass windows. On the north, a shutter made with the same perforated metal sheet covers the windows for privacy and security reasons.
Precast concrete was used to build the whole school due to the proximity of the factory of this material. The existing constructive system of industrial buildings of precast reinforced concrete pillars, girders, walls and slabs were adapted to the project necessities achieving cost and quality control. The interior divisions were made by using a gypsum paneling and recycled wood panels.
