Ningbo Industrial Design and CreativeCenter
The NingboIndustrial Design and Creative Center designed by Cordogan Clark & Associates optimizes its riverfront site with a collection of exciting buildings. These are woven into a cohesive fabric that focuses on pedestrian experience, promotes sustainable design, reduces sprawl and congestion, and provides convenient access to recreation. In addition to creating great buildings, it creates great streets: Streets that are alive with a wide variety of activity. Because the types of creative businesspeople that people that value these are the type of people Ningbo wants to attract.
The architectural and urban design integrates architecture and landscape. TransportationCenter is designed to be in harmony with Nature and not dominate over it. Sustainable design features are incorporated throughout the development. It also redesigns the river as an attractive backdrop for urban life. Water elements are incorporated into the main plaza and throughout the project, highlighting this site’s position on the river and Ningbo’s historical connection to water.
Cordogan Clark’s overall design of the Ningbo Industrial Design and Creative Center creates a unique urban setting designed to enhance its position with respect to the surrounding urban fabric and to the region as a whole. From the moment a person enters the Design and Creative Center, whether resident, businessperson, or tourist, he will feel he is in a special place.
