Innovative, and environmentally-conscious are terms that can be used to describe the Niner Winery Estates project located west of Paso Robles on Highway 46. Innovative design considerations for this project span from a unique gravity based red fruit sorting and delivery system to extensive water conservation methods. In addition to a world-class aesthetic, the client requested that the campus qualify to be LEED certified. To achieve these sometimes competing goals, Pults & Associates had to tightly coordinate with each member of an extensive design team to work toward that common goal. Upon completion in Spring of 2011, all three buildings were certified LEED Silver. The Niner Winery Estates was the first project on the Central Coast to achieve this distinction, joining only three other wineries in California.
