The existing house from the 1960ies was raised by adding a storey, thermally insulated and clad with a new textile building envelope. A filigree timber construction was used to achieve the added height and the thermal insulation of the existing building. A large veranda with lounging areas on three levels was formed between the inner heated building and the textile envelope. Inside, an additional apartment was created above the existing flat; it takes over the split level of the existing building. Thanks to its dark green colour, the building is well integrated in the surrounding mature vegetation.
