A major rework and extension of a 60's modernist house by Peter Womersley. The new 1st floor extension sits on top of the existing house by the notable 60's Scottish Architect. The living areas of the house are now in the new 1st floor and the house is entered by a bridge. The extension was designed to sit on top of the original clerestory windows of the existing raised flat roof of the house, giving the effect of the new extension hovering over the existing building. The new living areas to the 1st floor overlook the adjacent park. A timber framed garden building was also designed and built as part of the project.
