Towers|Golde assisted the New York Botanical Garden in a total redesign of their historic Azalea Gardens, an extensive collection of North American and Asian species showcased against the rocky terrain that underlays the mature canopy of the native forest.
While Towers|Golde provided a conceptual framework scheme for plants, the larger, redesigned effort addressed the pedestrian path system, adding overlooks, gathering places and a new bridge and opening up new parts of the landscape not addressed in the historical design.
