The project involves the replacement of the current PalaTennis, a building constructed in the 1990s that is no longer structurally or energetically suitable, with a new multifunctional structure. The intervention includes the selective demolition of the existing building, the redevelopment of the open area, and the construction of a new covered court, designed to host various sports: tennis, volleyball, basketball, five-a-side football, pickleball, gymnastics, and martial arts.
The new tensile structure will be made with laminated timber arches and a double PVC membrane roof, ensuring insulation, natural ventilation, and internal comfort. The end walls will be in concrete and colored polycarbonate, with an architectural style consistent with the nearby Palasport.
A new locker room facility, in compliance with CONI standards, will be built to serve the complex, fully accessible and equipped with technical rooms and equipment storage.
