The idea of the project was born with the merger of distinct elements: three cones, one trapezium, one parallelepipoid and on semi-circular crowns. They form three themes, three places and a unit system. The three themes are:
- BRING UP: realisation of learning situations thanks to the complementary activities of the exhibition-museum and the creation of didactic experiences in the laboratory;
- LEARN: creation of the technological post-university Master with projects in relation with the automobile sports;
- LIVE: activities characterized by the exhibition function of the museum dedicated to cars.
The museum is composed of an horizontal main axis (the trapezium of the laboratories) settled next tot the parallelepipoid of the auditorium. The simplicity of the composition, combined with the one of the geometrical forms, represents an interesting solution for the spaces' general composition. The move of the river draws the exterior spaces, whose green is the protagonist. It is the element that binds the landscape to the area of intervention because it draws the basis and the visible cones converging on the structure. The other exterior spaces are formed by the atrium and the stone square whereas the interior gathers the classrooms, the laboratories, the auditorium and the exhibition ramp.
