This project is for new collective houses (NCH), based on the desire and the intention to provide a new
urban tissue and a rule for an area dominated by a casual, de luxe type of urbanization. The collective
houses foresee the development of spaces with an attractive atmosphere for the daily life of single persons,
domestic economies of family type or of other social communities. In their interior the apartments differ
one from another in size and in the arrangement of the spaces, so as to cater for and to interest various
sectors of possible occupants. They vary from a small duplex apartment to the central triplex type, and
up to the high-rise house occupying all five floors of the building, entirely overlooking the lake. These
living spaces, moreover, are characterized by variously arranged interfaces between different sectors:
from small to large, from intimate and private to those open to the public, from the outside to the inside.
Another basic aim of the project was to construct buildings having a low energy consumption, able to be
supplied autonomously exploiting the energy resources available at local level.
