Building on Bergmeyer's existing relationship with New Balance, the team was well-positioned to serve as a key strategic partner in bringing this new retail format to life. We leveraged our deep market knowledge and expertise to navigate Boston's complex development landscape and execute the project successfully. In support of the New Balance team, Bergmeyer detailed, documented, and implemented the concept designed by UK-based Universal Design Studio. What emerged is an 8,500-square-foot flagship that reflects our collaborative ethos — a true partnership united by a shared goal.
New Balance sought an architectural partner capable of executing their creative vision, meeting critical timelines, and managing the nuances of construction in the city of Boston. The concept is structured around three distinct experiential zones: lifestyle, performance, and seasonal storytelling. The design comes to life through a refined palette of natural wood tones, brushed metals, dimensional glass, illuminated ceilings, and intricate detailing. This creates a visually cohesive space where visitors experience New Balance's authenticity and connect with a brand that continues to define American athletic excellence.
This stunning flagship opened in conjunction with the 2025 New Balance Nationals Indoor Championships, held directly across from the location on the New Balance corporate campus.
