The parcel of land is located on the upper eastern edge of the village Islikon.The premises has a steep plunge towards the street and is slightly rising towards the south side. The building regulation requires a single-storey architecture. As a result of these circumstances an interesting building, harmoniously embedded in the landscape was developed. The house is accessed through the entrance that leads through the embankment to the garage like a tunnel. The stairs lead to the living floor where one can enjoy the wonderful sight over the Thurtal and the surrounding area. The sleeping area and the living area constitute an angular floor plan. The topography of the landscape is visualized through the different levels of the building. This particular characteristics gives the building an impressive unique touch. The outer wall is made of exposed concrete with interior insulation. The interior walls consist of brick and lime stone. The ceiling, made of exposed concrete is not connected to the outer wall but lies on the inner walls supported by steel stanchions.
