In Costa Rica, Nestlé has been present since 1957 and is positioned under 3 priority areas: people and families, communities, and the planet. Within Nestlé's social dynamics, a series of public commitments are made. Under this social argument we wanted to position our design concept. What is Nestlé's reason for being? Where do their raw materials come from? What is their true human face? Nestlé's journey? the journey of its history? His legacy? Their footprint? Their path?
And then the questions arise: where does Nestlé come from? What is the true human face of Nestlé? And as such, what is Nestlé's reason for existing? Identification: being able to identify with something is what makes it attract us, generate attention and sympathy. And if then, do we appeal to this identification and show people that Nestlé is something more? That Nestlé is a path that seeks to leave its mark. Leave a mark on the family, on the community, on the planet, on Costa Rica. They are not just brands, but brands with purpose.
It is then proposed to represent this idea of “leaving a mark and creating a path” through 3 specific points. Initially (point 1) focused on where it comes from? through textures and branding, so that the spaces evoke the origins of the products, wooden textures like the schools that Nestlé develops for children. Point 2, leave a mark: represent that path that Nestlé creates from its social work, through routes set in skies, floors, colors and textures, which provide a walk throughout the project and its different spaces and neighborhoods. Allowing, not only on a functional level to create virtual separations between spaces that give more mobility to the project, but also to create precisely these interactive tours that evoke that idea of Nestlé community.
The third point, a little more grounded in Costa Rica and precisely the country image they want to manage, the inclusion of Nestlé's purposes and values. This through the representation of Family, Community and Planet. The family is represented in the workspaces, under the vision of a healthy lifestyle, with ergonomic work environments that meet the needs of the collaborators. The Community promotes the concept of “making community” through collaborative spaces, with spaces that allow teamwork and social interaction. And finally, the ideology of Planeta, promoting Nestlé programs for preservation, giving special attention and detail to recycling spaces and the practices of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The project includes different spaces according to the function and needs of the client, so that spaces for more informal interaction and collaboration are facilitated, as well as more private spaces for training and meetings between work teams. With an open work area and amenities that facilitate both teamwork and more private and quiet work.
