This public, 500 student, Net-Zero Energy STEM High School is located on the NeoCity Campus in Osceola County, FL.
The design team was given a mandate to design the new, public high school within the strict, state mandated budget and space requirements.
This facility is designed to use 76% less energy than a typical public school in Osceola County, and is currently running Net Positive.
The design concept for the school is driven by the merging of nature and technology, plus the desire to make the building both a teaching tool and to reflect the learning experiences that the kids will have there: learning in an immersive environment, high tech focused, and with constant reminders of technology’s expression through graphics, textures, and finishes.
