This project is the creation of a 'rental' center for a concept mobile office vehicle that was designed earlier in the semester. Being in the loop in Chicago, this proposal is designed to accomodate up to 40 vehicles that could be rented zipcar-style as needed. Envisioned as the first in a series of rental centers, this proposal is new construction, but subsequent proposals would occupy buildings abandoned in construction. The paradigm shift in office work would then serve as a symbol of the recovering economy. This project is a study in the context of the urban fabric, and the premise is nothing is understood until it is taken away from you.
