The project is located in Marseille’s 1st arrondissement within the perimeter of the city’s historic monuments. It is also close to the Saint-Charles main line station and the Aix-en-Provence gateway to the city. The challenge was to provide the apartments with a high level of privacy. This was achieved by organising them around secluded tree-shaded courtyards. Providing dual aspect apartments ranging from studios to three-room flats, the building is accessed from the east by external decks creating a “service” façade.
