Near South Studios desired new offices for their long-standing film production business. Additionally, they wanted small offices to lease to creative professionals and a modern professional production studio to rent out for still and video work. Converting a former cheese cold storage facility to modern offices and video studio offered interesting design challenges. The design plays the new requirements against the old high and low ceilinged spaces, existing brick walls and prefab cooler structure, using their corporate green color to highlight the structural elements. The warmth of the brick, the coolness of the prefab cooler panels and the rigor of the structure add interest and vitality of the space.
