This is the third building designed on The Oval at the Centennial Campus for NC State University. Sited at the northeast quadrant of the campus Oval, it will house both graduate and undergraduate programs for Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Over eight classrooms - including at least three DELTA (distance education) - will serve the common needs of all six engineering departments on campus, as well as the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering. The building will be horizontally organized by department, coming together around a central entry space – a community “hearth” where faculty, researchers and students will gather.
