NC House is a 3-bedroom apartment situated in a 21st-century limestone-clad building. Each window offers its own unique view of nature and greenery. The space was designed as a summer home for a retired couple who hope to host their children and grandchildren. The apartment was crafted to accommodate a large family, with the flexibility to expand sleeping spaces as needed. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a dining room, a private office area, and a kitchen.
StudioBO was tasked with transforming the space into a welcoming home. The initial step was to create a sense of openness. Walls and ceilings are entirely clad in earthy tones, complemented by a gently colorful array of furniture, carpets, and objects. The subtle blend of pastels with silver travertine, as well as touches of pink and brick velvet, creates a harmonious flow throughout the space. Additionally, custom-made items by StudioBO were incorporated, including the Ex-Ex Dining Table, the Manette low table in the main living space, and the Portico Table in the family room, to tie the space together.
