Descriptum
Designed to tread lightly on the UNESCO heritage site, the Angel Lyre Gallery offers exhilarating views of the ancient Nazca Geoglyphs. The adventurous lodge in suspended Skypods with common areas for dining and study at the base.
The Angel Lyre Gallery is harmoniously balanced on
its centroid upon this monumental nine story fulcrum. As a sundial it
casts the time of day upon the ground and orients
viewers to the mystic geoglyph patterns of the Nazca Plains. Large
magnets counterweigh the suspended dwellings and align the gnomon due
south with the earth's polarity.
Like a giant lyre, tensile cables emit mystic sounds as the
not-faint-of-heart trek about glass-bottomed catwalks and up the grand
Mayan stairs to the glass observatory deck at the 100m level. A Sky
Shuttle gondola also reaches this vantage point where one may ponder
mysterious land markings by day, starry constellations by night.
