The grand opening of Nave de Vero, the new ultra-modern shopping centre designed by Design International’s CEO and principal architect-Davide Padoa, attracted over 50,000 visitors through its doors on its opening day.
The project’s stunning architectural design also attracted much attention in the media, including in prestigious publications such as Corriere della Sera and Vanity Fair- Casa Naturale as well as TV and radio stations such as Radio Venezia, RAI-GR Veneto and RAI 3-TGR. Design International was appointed as the architects of project by Cório, the investor, after many years of close collaboration on past successful projects such as Le Gru (Italy), Campania (Italy) and Grand Littoral (France).

The list of honoured guests in attendance included Emilio Carlesimo, the Vice Mayor of Venice, Gino Antonacci, president of Cório Italia and David Jones, project director of Nave de Vero at Design International.
In addition the great interest in its architectural design, Nave de Vero also drew the attention of sustainability-focused publications it becomes the the first shopping centre in Italy that is on track to be awarded “Very Good” under the international BREEAM assessment of sustainability, the highest level achieved to date. Business-focused publications also covered the story as 1000 new jobs were created in the community; a socio-economic phenomenon given the country’s tough economic conditions.
