An addition to a 1950’s bungalow the project brief was primarily to design a
couple of canopies for the clients Ferrari and Porsche, as well as the addition of an external lift core, along with a general upgrade of the entrance facilities.
The proposed materiality is a combination of the pre-existing wood and a complimentary rustic corten steel. As the metal has a restriction in size, the design reveals its joinery though selectively lit up grooves of varying sizes. The wooden clad underbelly drops further at places hinting at an axis to house entrance beyond.
