The characteristic design concept is inspired by Manhattan, a central district of New York City, and the famous Central park, located between the upper west and upper east. Every detail influencing the ambiance and atmosphere, like plants, water elements, and materials used, should give the resident the feeling of walking inside the original central park in New York City.
The residence is divided into three zones: the main entrance, the central park, and the clubhouse. The grand entrance exudes nothing less than high-class luxury and elegance when it appears. Walls underline the symmetric entry on both sides, inspired by brownstone, and the gate`s canopy gives the impression of the frontage of a luxury hotel in Manhattan, giving coming home the appearance of getting on a vacation. Through the entrance, you can spare a view of the main park, which is inspired by the central park. The double gates ensure all residents excellent security and let them relax and forget all their worries after entering their homes. To get comfortable to the clubhouse there is a car lane on both sides of the park, bringing the residents directly to the other entrance of the clubhouse. The Central park, located in the middle of the residential area, contains a lake with a bridge and a 6 meters high fountain, resembling the iconic angel of the waters statue. The pavement in the park has a very particular herringbone pattern, and also the Bethesda pavilion is an architectonical masterpiece with many details in its facade and arcade, such as the symmetric flower element or the ceiling in a renaissance style. All features are analogous to the originals in the central park making every step one step closer of hiding away in the central park of New York. Another highlight is the maze playground. To integrate younger ones, the maze with a fairy tale atmosphere, which is inspired by Alice in wonderland, includes many playground equipments and music instruments, looking like characters out of the novel. A notable highlight is the gardening area in which everyone has the chance to harvest some fruits and vegetables, do a different activity or pass on knowledge to the children. In front of the clubhouse is a 25 meters swimming pool, in which the residents can stay active or enjoy a relaxing day watching the park around, an experience the central park can not offer. The handle along the stairs gives access to the pool and sitting area for older people, including everyone at the pool area.
The challenging part of this project is to keep the same sense of space from the original central park and develop it into Narasiri park, which is smaller than the original. Furthermore, Narasiri park has existing rain trees; our designers were very interested in protecting those trees from any damage caused by construction work and keeping them as an essential ecological component. Nevertheless, Narasiri is perfect for fully recharging after a busy day in a unique atmosphere.
