Along with the birth and development of movie art, the sound plays an important role in setting the atmosphere of the plot of films. The designers chose the physical phenomenon of "echo" as the design concept of this cinema project, and refined the form of sound propagation from a point to a circle spreading outwards in space, and used a geometrical style close to a bowl to express sound propagation, thus materializing the sound waves.
The designers have made this geometric form into different sizes of lighting fixtures and shapes. We can't see the light and sound propagation, but we can see the way light and shadow form, and hear the melody.
At the entrance of the cinema, a 2.4-meter diameter double arc metal panel with laser-cut brand logo is used as a partition to separate the sales and ticking from the public area. The overall space of the cinema is dominated by green stone with orange metal. Orange and green are opposites and clash with each other.
In the original building, the lobby is only partially hollow, according to the actual situation, the designers suggested the owner to open a window on the side near the outer wall to bring natural light into the interior. On the ceiling of lobby, orange metal chandeliers in 1.8-meter diameter make the space more flexible and livelier.
The original long and narrow wall in the passage way was designed as a feature backdrop with a full wall of customized light fixtures, utilizing this transition area to meet the disadvantage of not having a lounge area in the lobby. We placed 4 sets of orange sofa seats to create a strong contrast between the color of the seats and the wall color, which in turn attracted the audience's attention to this area.
The audience's entry channel is long and narrow and limited in height, so the design idea is not to do too much decoration on the ceiling, but to design a small and lovely round wall lamp, vertically arranged in the channel, so that the original green metal appears to be a heavy space with some playful elements.
The designers were motivated by cost control in the design of the movie theater, the size of the orange round sound-absorbing panels combines into a radioactive circle, in the height of more than ten meters of the studio wall, irregularly distributed; as if the sound is spread from far away and close to the same. The carpet pattern also follows this design idea to make the overall space more rhythmic.
The design of other auditoriums is a simple approach, through a round wall lamp suitable for the wall. And there are changes in the arrangement of the different sizes of the auditorium.
Inside the bathroom is along the overall color scheme, large grain green stone, so that the space is no longer dull and monotonous, bathroom wall lamps are also adjusted according to the scale of the space where the size and thickness, to avoid because of the small space to make people feel the proportion of imbalance.
