Nantong Golden Eagle World is an integrated and visionary mixed-use project for Golden Eagle Group. The design seeks to establish a compelling destination and new contemporary world-class city centre in Nantong.
The scheme is located in the heart of the new Central Business District of Nantong and comprises an incredible line-up of waterfront retail, F&B streets, super high-rise towers, premium office, hotel and serviced apartments. With a total land area of 116,000sqm, the development will spread across 650,000sqm of above-ground space and a further 260,000sqm below ground.
The design has been informed by the views of the Langshan mountains and famous Yangtze River. Canals flow through the plots of the site, leading to the picturesque Zilang Lake, creating a unique environment and delivering opportunities for active waterfront experiences and people-centric outdoor pedestrian networks.
The team drew inspiration from the surroundings, celebrating waterscapes throughout the project. The trio of towers represent mountains, navigation, and the beginning of a journey. The notion of water flowing down the hills and connecting to districts within and around the site can be seen through the design.
The waterfront of the development is accessible by water vessels and will feature a curated series of leisure squares and open landscaped event spaces, delivering rich and diverse placemaking within the city.
The placemaking strategy has also been taken to the skies, with another notable highlight for the development in the form of skybridge, a special architectural feature where the three towers meet. The skybridge has been designed with gardens, viewing platforms, cultural spaces and art galleries, all at an altitude of 240m.
Overall, Nantong Golden Eagle World aims to become an exciting 24-hour active city destination and a memorable new place in the city. As an integrated, sustainable, mixed-use development, it will help to put Nantong on the world stage, a celebration of art, architecture, landscape, nature, culture, and theatre.
