The 2009 NAMBIES (Neighbors Against McMansions - Big Invasive Eyesores) Competition was an effort by a local developer to change the dynamic of a mixed demographic neighborhood with lots of duplex- and single-family zoning. The program was obvious - maximize the square footage on the lot but at the same time treat the frontage with respect and give the neighborhood back its open space.
Team members included Gail Baldwin, Jane Decker and Kristie Stephenson and the team placed as one of the Top 10 Semi Finalists.
