Najafabad is a city and capital of Najafabad County, Isfahan Province, Iran .
It is located west of Isfahan and is increasingly becoming an important part of healthcare system in its surrounding region.
Although it seems logical to build a healthcare center in this context but the location which client had considered for the buliding ,was next to one of the most crowded and overfilled streets with a lot of divergent building types such as retails ,bus stations ,small offices … and noise of people and cars passing by.
In spite of easy transportation facilities, this chaotic neighborhood did not match with the spirit of place which is assumed for a healthcare environment.
So the familiar concept of introversion and having a peaceful central courtyard was first solution to minimize the negative outer impacts _as our vernacular architecture_.
While Separating our functions into two major categories of medical(clinics, dentists, radiology, sonography) and commercial (drugstores, medical equipment, organic products shop), the medical part moved away from street to the back and upper part of building’s volume and gave its place to the commercial part to gain more peace .
In next step, a second white skin of façade wrapped around medical parts for more protection.
In the north side this brick porous layer drifted away from the building to give us some spaces for putting our greenery inside and having more filtration and freshness.
