Naegok Elementary was built to solve the overcrowded issue of classes due to the sudden increase in student population with the centralization of new cities in Korea. However, we're expecting fewer students down the generation, since Korean society is also aging. In that case, this building can be deconstructed and moved to different sites and reused entirely to meet new purposes. Buildings by PLANM are 90% reusable not to mention the dramatic reduction of construction waste and CO2 emission.
As the whole process of modular manufacturing is done within the factory and relocating the entire modular usually takes only 3 days, it prevents serious risks to the construction site. We believe PLANM modular is the future of construction, the only way to make construction sustainable.
