My sweet box pots constructed from single soapstone block by Veronica Fasulo, Stefano Guglielmino, Massimo Farinatti.
The project starts from a collaboration with a soapstone company, "ital export valmalenco". It focused on the rethinking and redesign of the traditional pot of Valmalenco, called “lavec”, characterized by soapstone and stripes of copper. The aim was to design a contemporary pot with contemporary materials, and, at the same time, value the tradition and the qualities of the soapstone.
The soapstone is a great and particular material with the following characteristics: it transmits heat evenly, and cook foods in an integral manner; it retains heat or cold accumulated for a long; it withstands high temperatures (up to 800 ° C); it allows a good energy savings because once they reach the optimum temperature, just a small flame to keep it constant.
So The project consists of two pots and a cake pan, which can be used for cooking and for conservation and presentation. The pot is in soapstone and the lid is in transparent glass, so it can make the product lighter and more contemporary.
The line is very simple and measured; to obtain a higher purity of the handles themselves were made from a single block of stone together with the actual container. The knob on the lid is designed with the form of the tricuspid to ensure a better handling.
This year the products have been exposed at Salone del Mobile, Expo and the headquarters of Adi Lombardy.
