The building that has been developed, designed and built, is a new type of building. MuzyQ can be seen as a music factory, which fits in perfectly with the historical buildings, build in the 19th century, elsewhere located on the site. The intention to make this factory work machine-like also requests a certain support of its users, which study music or practice related professions. In order of Stichting Orfeos Studio [S-O-S], Paul Verhey Architects conducted a comprehensive study. However, after the decease of Paul Verhey in 2005, Jo Janssen Architects took over the project and started developing the ideas, as they were developed by Paul Verhey and Robin Lamers [S-O-S].
