Miami Pier Museum of Latin American ImmigrantsMain tasks of the design:_The search of a modern architectural expression to visualize the emotions of people involved in conflicts of a political,territorial and cultural nature. For years USA has been a place of refugefor many immigrants from the latin-american countries that decided for a dramatic escape.Nowadays regulations considering their settlement allowed to sum up that period thattook so many lives.In their memory would stand a museum localized on a pier wich pointsout to the sea.The building situated directly on the coastline of the South beach in Miami would be a horizontal monument to all the immigrants who arrived on the shores of this gateway to the Americas._Creating a structure resistent toabnormal hostile weather conditions-hurricanesOn average, about five hurricanes makelandfall in the US every three years.Most of them pass through the Florida Peninsula.
