Near to the town, this work was occasion of reclamation of a dismantled
and decayed industrial area. The complex, on a wide parking place
planted with threes and with a railway line on its back became the first
piece of a kind of wide shopping place closed on the other side by a
range of other industrial buildings under reclamation.Keeping the
old chimney, the curved shape of the façade, the wide glass walls and
the windows on the roof help the soft integration of the building into
the upgraded context. The used materials are marble, wood, glass,
bricks, which recall its previous industrial function. Photovoltaic
boards on the roof deliver energy. Roads have been reorganized on a wide
area, taking advantage of the private intervention as well for the
realization of a tunnel under the railway, which opened a new connection
toward Rovigo and Ferrara.
