Refurbishment
of an existing multipurpose hall in a 1980’s Town Hall. A small amphiteatre with an audience capacity of 100
seats able to host a variety of public events from theatrical and musical performances,
to lectures and community meetings, located in the mountainous rural town of Lekani, Prefecture
of Kavala, Northern
Greece. A perforated wooden container, tailored to fit existing
hall proportions and correct acoustic and visual requirements is inserted. Wood
is selected as structural and cladding material, providing an atmospheric interior
in accordance with the rural character of the site.
