Multi Purpose Building at Telfair Elementary School
This project was initiated in 2005 as part of the LAUSD's effort to provide adequate core facilitiesfor school sites deficient in these areas. Specifically this project consists of a new 5,000 sf. Multi-purpose Building, a new 2,100 sf. Full Service Kitchen and a new 3,100 sf. Lunch Pavillion. Also included as part of this project are a new 1,000 sf. Faculty Lounge and 1,100 sf. Faculty Patio, and the modernization of an existing freestanding 950 sf. Sanitary Building.The project's inherint difficulties included limited are available for the proposed development as well as a very tight construction budget. These difficulties were addressed successfully during design and production in terms of meeting the program requirements and budgetary constraints without sacrificing quality of design.
