The Multicultural Centre forms the public interface for Yungaba and offers the broader community a state of the art facility that can be used to celebrate the cultural diversities, which have shaped Queensland. The Centre has been planned around existing established vegetation on the site and has been influenced by the form of the Storey Bridge that defines the eastern boundary. The public areas addressing Main Street, including foyers and gathering spaces, sit behind a transparent “curtain” of glass, a symbolic welcoming gesture towards the community.
