The MRZ Memorial Competition proposes an intervention deeply rooted in the valor of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the peace and security of future generations. Central to the design concept is the transformation of MRZ Square into a serene sanctuary tailored for children, where they can revel in unrestricted play and joy. The envisioned playground encompasses a circular bike track encircling an indigenous, lush forest, symbolizing resilience and vitality. This dense vegetation not only serves as a natural backdrop but also fosters a sense of connection with the environment, resembling a miniature urban forest.
The circular motion of children navigating the bike track animates and enlivens the surrounding greenery, infusing the space with youthful energy and dynamism. By repurposing Martyrs Square into a haven for children, the design honors the sacrifices made by martyrs while nurturing the spirit of peace and freedom they fought for. It stands as a testament to resilience, continuity, and the enduring legacy of those who selflessly gave their lives for a better tomorrow.
