This 110m² tenancy located in Meyers Place is a new 53 seat restaurant and bar offering Southern American soul food and beverages. The design concept is influenced by the music and film culture in America during the 1970/1980’s. With concrete flooring and timber lined walls the space is softened by the pyramidal acoustic foam wall wrapping around the DJ booth. Gradations of colour feature on the bar front and bold graphics by ‘Can I Play’ are applied in duality to the ‘V’ shaped bulkhead above; creating mutable views as you move around the space. Lineal lighting is suspended above the dining area and feature neon lighting in the bathroom adds a playful and surprising element.
