The project involved the re-configuration of the ground floor and the extension of the kitchen and living area into the garden. The original kitchen was very dark and most of the light was being blocked by a large glass garden room, which the client never used due to the extremes of temperature during the winter and summer months. The new extension not only creates an additional seating and dining area but brings light into the previously dark kitchen. By including a set of double doors to the side of eth house we were able to create a patio area in this previously unused west facing part of the garden
