The prominent Windmill symbol provides the main idea. By extruding it downward in the form of a periscope, the circular mirror is angled to offer pedestrians a view of the auditorium stage below-grade. The angled facade gradually reveals more of the Windmill as it rises. Inside, it is carved into and surrounded by terraces to allow people to navigate it. The new building provides loft-type spaces and has a central atrium topped with a skylight. Glass for atrium & terrace railings, elevator shaft etc. is used to add a sense of transparency.
