Mosul sport city, is born with the goal of staging and moving the life
and soul of a country for centuries pro- tagonist of history, through a work
characterized by a strong symbolic value, a gesture that retrieves the
recurring themes of archi- tecture that has identified Mesopotamian art

out centuries, by restoring and reviewing, through a more contemporary,
social and sustainable perspective, those iconographic examples that have made

values and the message through a series of tributes to the glory of an ancient
people, realizing, through an ethics and con- scious building, a place that
integrate landscape, archi- tecture, technology and in- frastructure in one
system where all the parts collabo- rate to create a socially rich environment.
The architectural character of the structure takes inspi- ration from
the ziggurat, fine example of Akkadian and Sumerian architecture marked by
timeless lines that are still part of the de- velopment of minimalist ar-
chitecture around the world.The new ziggurat, an iconic building in the center
of the city and center of social life, lies in a new Mesopotamia, the land between
two artificial stands , exhibiting a ris- ing trend, from his entrance to the

The complex extend exibits a development materially chang- ing between
nature and tech- nology, including historical notes and modern facilities that

The two rivers are fed from the water that washes a sloped wall,
distributing it to the sym- metric and divergent paths that run along the
