Seeking to take a run-down colonial into the 21st century, the project began by taking a roughly 90 year-old brick Colonial down to an external shell. Working from the inside-out, the problematic circulation was replaced with a gracious hall centered around a grand circular stair. The original living room and dining room were expanded, and a hodgepodge of small rear rooms were replaced with a single rear addition housing the kitchen and family rooms downstairs and the master suite upstairs.
