The Monash Tech School, hosted by Monash University and operated by the John Monash Science School, is a shared learning centre that provides real-world experiences to secondary students from partner government and non-government schools to amplify their achievement and engagement in STEM.
Teaching and learning take place in an informal and flexible environment with spaces blending into each other, while having clearly defined roles. During the design, Brand Architects focused on the user, employing human centred design thinking – the underlying framework behind Monash Tech School programs and activities.
The adaptability of the space allows rapid reconfiguration for different programs with minimal effort. The collaborative learning zones are designed to motivate and inspire students through integrated technology, virtual reality, AV experiences, dynamic lighting and sophisticated interior treatment.
